Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville®
Uncasville, CT
Client: Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville
Project Description
Uncasville, Connecticut is the sole New England locale for Margaritaville, a famous eatery with a very distinctive tropical theme. The restaurant, owned by singer/songwriter Jimmy Buffett, first opened inside The Mohegan Sun Resort and Casino in September of 2008 and is known for serving margaritas from an eight-foot-tall blender. The menu features the “cheeseburger in paradise,” key lime pie, and other options evoking Buffett’s affinity for the Florida Keys. Margaritaville has two floors of dining space, multiple bars, and a concert stage, all encompassed in tropical atmosphere inspired by Buffett’s journey and songs.
Escape to Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville and LandShark Bar & Grill to enjoy live entertainment every Friday and Saturday night. Locals and visitors seeking a relaxed, casual place to have fun as well as devoted Parrot Heads “looking for their lost shaker of salt,” find what they are looking for, and much more. The restaurant features a stage for performing artists, a tiki bar, and Buffett-inspired accent pieces throughout the two-story design. For margarita fans and spectators alike, A&ES provided a centerpiece attraction to the restaurant—the gigantic spiraling 30 ft. waterspout cyclone, which spouts a tequila bottle from below and fills the giant 8-foot-tall blender with margaritas every hour. A&ES is proud to have contributed this amazing piece to the legendary restaurant, founded by a legendary musician.
